PRIX VILLÉGIATURE AWARDS 2018
The awards ceremony for the Prix Villégiature Awards 2018 was held for the 16th time and took place this year on October 15th, 2018 at the Château de Ferrières. Twenty-three journalists awarded the prizes to the best hotels in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Sandra Iskander, the editor-in-chief of Where Paris, was a member of the jury for the fourth consecutive year. The Hôtel de Crillon received 5 awards including the Grand Prix for the Best Hotel in Europe and the Best bar in a hotel in Europe.

PARIS DECO OFF 2018
Paris Déco Off was held for the ninth time from January 18th to January 22nd, 2018. More than 100 prestigious houses of decoration revealed their latest collections in the showrooms. As in previous years Where Paris was a media partner of this event. The Showroom Window Contest, presided over by the designer Chantal Thomass, was held to award the prize to the most beautiful windows on both banks of the Seine. The winners this year were Gastón y Daniela on the Left Bank and the house of Pierre Frey on the Right Bank. Our journalist, Patricia Valicenti, was a member of the jury.
BEST RECEPTIONIST IN 2017
On Monday November 27th 2017, at the Hôtel Meurice, the ceremony for the David Campbell Trophy, the competition for the best hotel receptionist of the year, was held for the 26th time while the David Campbell Junior Trophy for students was held for the 9th time. Agnès Clevy won the prestigious trophy and will have the opportunity of representing Paris at the International AICR Congress, which will take place in Zurich. AICR is the French acronym for The International Association for Deputy Managers and Front Office Managers of Luxury Hotels. Suzanne Tang who is in charge of distribution at Where Paris was a member of the jury for the sixth consecutive year.
A SPLENDID SOIRÉE
A convivial and enriching soirée was on the agenda in Paris on the evening of November 21st in and around the galleries of the Carré Rive Gauche association, which welcomed the Clefs d’Or concierges and other special guests into their elegant quarters. The gallery owners, experts in their diverse fields, offered rich and edifying explanations to the visitors who were visibly entranced by the experience. The evening continued in a festive fashion at the charming Le Bistro de Paris restaurant in the neighbourhood where participants continued to mingle, converse and marvel over the originality of the soirée. The event was organised by Where Paris Editions and the Carré Rive Gauche association of 110 galleries.

Within the context of American Express‘s strategy of communicating with foreign tourists who use the American Express card, Where Paris has conceived a thoroughly customised Map of Paris. This new American Express 2016 map will be distributed in over 1,200 places in Paris and the Greater Paris region (hotels, tourism offices, train stations, airports, the Open Tour, Bateaux-Mouches, Batobus). The treasures of the automobile world, car lovers and collectors from around the world converged on the Porte de Versailles from February 3rd to the 7th for the 41st Retromobile. Each year, 120,000 visitors come to dream, to wax lyrical, to get information, to invest and to meet up with the most beautiful cars. This year Where Paris was present for the preview opening and in the VIP lounge.
Papiers de Presse et PresseEdition.fr organised a debate on February 12th, 2016 on the theme of Free Information Magazines, how to develop a declining advertising market. Among the speakers was our Managing Director Pascal Tranchant who was invited to participate in this debate and to show that there are niche markets where growth is possible.

Where Paris brought out an exceptional 255th issue in April 2015 for the 150th anniversary of the Printemps. This collector edition has two inverted covers. A regular cover on the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition at the Grand Palais with a feature story inside and a special upside-down cover on the 150 years of the department store the Printemps with 12 exceptional pages devoted to this anniversary comprising a history of the department store and the luxury collections created exclusively for this event.
